The PivotGrip Vice Jaw Set bolts directly into a standard 6" machine vice and offers a versatile clamping solution for securely holding round and irregular shaped workpieces. during aggressive rough machining.
The curved, blade like grippers bite into the workpiece, offering superior stability during rough machining compared to traditional smooth jaws. The low-profile design allows for clamping on as little as 3mm of stock, minimising the amount of material removal needed in secondary operations and improving overall cycle times.
3 different gripper positions enable you to clamp round bar from 40mm up to 200mm. Alternatively, use 4 additional PivotGrips to clamp 2 workpieces ranging form 30mm up to 65mm.
PivotGrips are made from premium A2 tool steel and hardened to 55HRC, the serrated grippers can clamp on plastic, aluminium, brass, titanium and steel up to 35HRC. The mild steel jaw carrier is compatible with standard 6"/150mm Kurt Style vices with mounting holes that accept both M12 and 1/2”-13 cap head screws (not included).
Hammering or reseating the material after clamping should be avoided as this may damage the grippers teeth.
