The Datum Workholding DF-30 Dovetail Fixture delivers rigid and reliable clamping for demanding 4th and 5th axis CNC machining. With a 3mm clamping edge and integrated stop pin, these dovetail fixtures provide a repeatable way clamping material while minimising material removal needed in secondary operations.
The protrusion-free outer profile of the Dovetail Fixture ensures ensures excellent part access to 5 faces and minimises tool clearance issues. The stainless steel construction ensures a long service life, offering substantially higher durability than aluminium alternatives.

Optimised for 4 and 5-axis CNC mills, the elevated design of our dovetail fixtures provide excellent and predictable tool/tool holder clearance.
Utilise a single 3 axis vice for stock preparation and 4th or 5th axis rotary table for a streamlined workflow, allowing for complex parts to be machined complete
each cycle.

Optional riser plates are fully compatible with standard 52mm and 96mm zero-point systems, enabling seamless integration of dovetail work holding into existing setups.
Achieve fast changeovers, accurate location, and repeatable positioning of setups across multiple machines and pallets.
One and Done
Clamping on just 3mm of stock provides exceptional access to the part from 5 sides. Leaving a breakaway table allows for parts to be machined in 1 single operation, ideal for tight tolerances and geometries difficult to fixture.
Alternatively, dovetail fixtures can reduce the amount of material needing to be removed in OP2 machining, an ideal solution to for materials with high internal stresses that are prone to distortion. Material wastage is minimised when using dovetail fixtures, reducing costs and improving machining efficiency.
